‘Victory’s Progressing Spiritually: Part 2 with Pastor Jerry Ables’

𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐧 𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐬 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐫, 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧.

For weeks, God has been speaking a consistent word to Victory Church Camden: 𝐆𝐨 𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐫. 𝐆𝐞𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫. 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐨 𝐌𝐞.

But why?

Because God sees what we cannot see. He knows what’s ahead, and in His love, He prepares us before the battle ever arrives. He has already called us overcomers, and He desires to strengthen us so that when difficulty comes, we are prepared to stand, trust Him, and shine in the middle of it.

In this message, we learn that spiritual growth isn’t passive. We have to take our thoughts captive, stand on the promises of God, grow in grace, control what comes out of our mouths, and allow our lives to become more like Jesus.

And there’s an even greater reason to grow:

𝐁𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬—𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐇𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐥𝐝 𝐮𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐟𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐇𝐢𝐦.

Jesus didn’t simply say, “Come to Me.” He also said, “𝐅𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰 𝐌𝐞.” Following Him is a process that requires obedience, sacrifice, trust, and a willingness to keep growing.

Sometimes we don’t understand why God is urging us to pray more, draw closer, get stronger, or change something in our lives. But one day we may look back and realize:

𝐆𝐨𝐝 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐮𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝𝐧’𝐭 𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠.

Don’t ignore His call.

𝐆𝐨 𝐝𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐫.
𝐆𝐞𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫.
𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐫.
𝐀𝐧𝐝 𝐛𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐉𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐬 𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞.
